The Installation program for WebLink Explorer is provided by an Installshield Setup.exe installer program.

IMPORTANT! If you're upgrading from a previous release, first make a copy of your existing weblinkdb.mdb database (stored in the WebLink Explorer <install>\ db directory). Then, uninstall the previous version of WebLink Explorer and install the new version of WebLink Explorer. When you're finished, replace the new installed database file with your your original database.
Installation Requirements:

- Pentium PC (15 MB free disk space ; 10-25 MB addt'l space required during installation)

-Windows 2000 or XP (Memory management issues noted with Windows 98 may cause problems on that platform.)

- Internet Explorer 5.5 or later; IE 6.0 recommended.

The install program is based on the Microsoft Windows Installer required for Windows 2000, ME and XP certification. When run on different operating systems, the Windows Installer will copy only the files necessary to run WebLink Explorer and preserve any protected operating system files.

Following installation, you can start WebLink Explorer by selecting WebLink Explorer from Windows Start program menu or clicking the WebLink Explorer desktop icon. You can also start WebLink Explorer by clicking the WebLink Explorer toolbar button or Tools menu option or the right-click "Add Link to WebLink Explorer" context menu option when viewing a web page in your browser.
